Bernie Bainbridge
of Whitby is painting her way to success. Artistically
inclined, at the age of ten, she was enrolled in art school
in Montreal and has never looked back. Bernie has studied
under Renate Heidersdorf, Marlene Hilton-Moore, Catherine
Delhaise and Laura Hair. Although disabled by thalidomide,
her disability is no deterrent, as Bernie is an unabashed
perfectionist whose work is marked by a fine attention
to detail, particularly with still life.
Her preferred media are watercolor, conté, and ink; her subjects
include exotic botanical forms and Aegean doorways — all inspired
by her travels abroad. Her work is included in collections in
Canada and abroad. Bernie’s originals are exquisitely matted and
framed. |
